Ordinance 1980-024 Adopts the Standard Plumbing Code 1979 EditionORDINANCE N0. 24-80
AN ORDINANCE OF TkiE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FIARIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 22 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE PLUMBING CODE FOR THE
VILLAGE, BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETU THE STANDARD PLUMBING CODE, 1979
IDITION INCLUDING APPEDIDIX A, D, AND F THERETll, ACS SETTING FORTH AMQ~IDMQdIS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 22 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 22-16. ADOPL'ID BY REFERENCE - Under the authority
o Section on tatutes, the Village of North
Palm Beach hereby adopts by reference thereto the Standard
Plumbing Code, 1979 Edition, including Appendix A, D, and F,
thereto, and the recommended amendments of the Building Code
Advisory Board of Palm Beach County, as the Plunbing Code
for the Village. There has been for at least ten days last
past and shall be during the time that this code is in effect
three copies of such code and recommended amendments kept
available for public use, inspection and examination."
Section 2. Section 22-17 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code
' is hereby amended to read as follows:

made and adopted; said amendments, corrections and additions
being set forth herein with reference to and prefaced by the
Section nwnber and title of said amendments, as follows:
Section 106.3. FEES - Delete existing first paragraph of Section 106.3
and rewrite as follows:
The Fee for any permit issued shall be $10.00.
IN ADDITION
Fees may be double for any work cannaided without a permit.
Re-inspection fees shall be $10.00.
For each and every Fixture, Water Heater, Floor Drain, Roof Drain,
' Floor Sink, Hub Drain, or other trap, roughed-in, in new construction, there
shall be a minimiun fee of $3.00.
For each and every Sanitary Sewer Connection, $5.00.
For each and every Storm Sewer Connection, $5.00, Seepage Pits, $5.00.
For each Fixture Exchange of 3 fixtures or less, $5.00 - for each
additional fixture, $3.00.
For each and every water to, or outlet for an appliance, or installation
not covered by a fixture perniit, $3.00.
For each and every water service to a building, 55.00.
For each and every waste repiping not covered by a fixt~e permit, $5.00.
For each supply well up to 2 inches, $10.00 - 3 inches, $30.00 -
4 inches, $75.00.
Vacuun Breakers, up to 5 shall be $3.00, each additional shall be $1.00.
For each Steam Boiler, Hot Water Boiler., $10,00 up to 50,000 BTU's -
' 50,000 to 350,000 BTU's, $25.00 - over 350,000 BTU's, $50.00.
For each Air Caripressor up to and including 3,000 PSI, $10.00,
over 3,000 - $10.00 plus $1.00/1,000.
For each Solar System consisting of 1 Heater, 1 Tank, and 1 Panel, $5.00 -
each additional panel or storage tank or heater, $3.00.
For each Water Treatment System, $5.00 per $1,000.00, replacement
of equipment, $5.00 per $1,000.00.
For each Fire Sprinkler Head. in buildings - $1.00 per head.
For each Sprinkler System in lawns, $5.00.
For each Septic Tank and/or Drain Field, $5.00.
For Grease Traps & Sumps - 0 to 100 gallons -- $10.00
100 to 750 gallons __ $25.00
over 750 gallons $ 5.00 per 100 gallons.
Section 110. VIOLATIONS AVID PIIVALITIES, Delete entirely.
Section 1205.1. MATERTATS UDIDERGROUDID. Delete paragraph (a) and
substitute the following:
(a) Materials for underground water supply system and water service
pipe may be a minim~sn of Type M copper tube, brass pipe or cast iron pressure
water pipe. Appropriate approved fittings shall be used on the water supply
systan or water service piping.
Section 1210.1. MATERIAiS. Change paragraphs (a) and (b) to read
as follows: Delete all reference to galvanized steel pipe.
Section 3. Any person, firni, or corporation who shall violate a
provision of this Ordinance, or fail to comply therewith, or with any of the
requirements thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, Each such person
' shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or
portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this
Ordinance is coRmitted or continued, and upon conviction of any such violation,
such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty ($50.00)
dollars not more than five hundred ($500) dollars, or by imprisonment not
exceeding six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
