Ordinance 1980-004 Regulating Operation of AmbulancesORDINANCE N0. 4-80 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VTT7Al.F OF NORTH PAIM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTIIt 17 OF THE VILIAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE (LICENSES AND MISCEI~US BUSINESS REGULATIONS) BY REGULATING THE OPERATION OF AMBULANCES IN THE VIII.AGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH. t BE IT ORDAINID BY THE VILiAGE OOUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Village of North Palm Beach Code be, and it is hereby, amended by adding new sections to be numbered Sections 17-50 and 17-51, which said sections shall read as follows: "ARTICLE 1V. AMBULANCES "Sec. 17-50. Definition. For the purpose of this article, the term 'ambulance' shall mean any vehicle designed, equipped and used to carry or transport sick or injured persons. "Sec. 17-51. Unlawful operation. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of operating an ambulance within the Village or from within the Village to a point outside the Village without first having obtained from the County of Palm Beach, Florida, a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate an ambulance service in Zone 2 of Palm Beach County, except that such ambulance(s) may be operated within Zane 2 at the request of a representative of the holder of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Zone 2 of Palm Beach County." Section 2, This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage. PLACID ON FIILST READING THIS 24TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1980. PLACID ON SECOND, FINAL.
