AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMF,NDING CI{APTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE
};I.F,CTRICAL CODE FOR THF, VILLAGE, BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO
TIIE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, 1975 EDITION, AND SETTING FORTH AMEND-
' MF,NZ'S TO SAID NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BF,ACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Sections 13-1 through 13-35, both inclusive,
of the Village of North Palm Beach Code are hereby repealed.
Section 2. The Village of North Palm Beach Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new section, to be numbered Section 13-1,
which said section shall read as follows:
"Sec. 13-1. ADOPTED BY REFERENCE---Under the
authority of Section 163.295, Florida Statutes,
the Village of North Palm Beach hereby adopts
by reference thereto the National Electrical
Code, 1975 Edition, and the recommended amend-
ments of the Palm Beach County Building Code
Advisory };oard, as the electrical code for the
' Village. There has been for at least ten days
last past and shall be during the time that
this code is in effect, three copies of such
code and recommended amendments kept available
for public use, inspection and examination."
Section 3. The Village of North Palm Beach Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new section, to be numbered Section 13-2,
which said section shall read as follows•
"Sec. 13-2. AMENDMENTS, CORRECTIONS AND
ADDITIONS---The following amendments,
corrections, and additions to the recommended
amendments of the Palm Beach County Building
Code Advisory Board are hereby made and
adopted; said amendments, corrections and
additions being set forth herein with reference
to and prefaced by the Section number and title
of said amendments, as follows:
80-6 (c) (3) - Schedule of Permit Fees. Delete the first paragraph and
' substitute the following:
On all electrical work requiring a permit as set forth in 80-5
fees shall be paid as required at the time of filing application in
accordance with the following schedule:
ELECTRIC PERMIT FEES
AMPERES 60-100 $20.00
101-200 $50.00
201-400 $90.00
' 401-600 $150.00
$1.00 per ampere shall be added for every ampere over 600 amperes.
For three (3) phase service, the above fees shall be doubled. Minimum
electric permit for residential will be $5.00 per tenancy. Minimun
electric permit for commercial will be $20.00 per tenancy.
Swimming pools - $10.00
Change of Service - $10.00 (also covers minor electric work causing the
need for change of service such as air conditions, water pumps, etc.)
State approved modular home permits will be $20.00 each.
Exception; For a single service to a single circuit, the permit fee
shall be $20.00.
Remodeling Fees:
' Residential - Minimum electric permit for residential will be $5.00
per tenancy. For every outlet over ten (10), and additional fee of
.50 cents per outlet shall be charged in addition to the minimcim
permit.
Commercial - Minimum electric permit for commercial will be $20.00
per tenancy. For every outlet over ten (10), an additional fee of
$1.00 per outlet shall be charged in addition to the minimum permit.
80-8 - Violations and Penalties. Delete entirely.
Article 230-43 - Add to existing paragraph;
This paragraph shall not apply to single family dwellings or primary
cable on any buildings so long as the services are installed, operated
and maintained by a franchised utility company.
' Section 4. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate
a provision of this Ordinance, or fail to comply therewith, or wit}i any
of the rec7uirements thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each
such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and
every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the

provisions of this Ordinance is committed or continued, and upon con-
viction of any such violation, such person shall be punished by a fine
of not less than fifty ($50) dollars nor more than five hundred ($500)
dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
' Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
