A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
• NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF A 2011 CHEVROLET EQUINOX FROM BARTOW
CHEVROLET PURSUANT TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION,
FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA FIRE CHIEFS'
ASSOCIATION BID SPECIFICATIONS; DECLARING AN EXISTING
UTILITY VEHICLE AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING ITS
DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Administration is seeking to purchase a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox for use
by the Parks and Recreation Department pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida
Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid Award and Specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare a 2002 Chevrolet utility vehicle as surplus
property and authorize its disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox
FWD LS from Bartow Chevrolet of Bartow, Florida pursuant to Specification #14 of the Florida
Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid
Award Announcement 10-18-0907 (Pursuit, Administrative Non-Pursuit, Utility Vehicles, Trucks
and Vans, and Other Fleet Equipment). The total amount expended for this vehicle shall not exceed
$18,970.00, with funds being expended from Village Account No. A8028-66410 ("Automotive").
Section 3. The Village declares a 2002 Chevrolet utility vehicle, VIN 1GNCS13WX2K166912,
as surplus property and authorizes its disposal in accordance with standard Village polices
and procedures.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
