ORDINANCE NO. 143-1967
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ASSESSING AND IMPOSING
A ONE (1) PER CENT EXCISE TAX ON CASUALTY INSURANCE PREMIUMS FOR PAYMENT TO MUNICIPAL
POLICE OFFICERS RETIREMENT TRUST FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 3 In accordance with Chapter 185.08, Florida Statutes, the Village of
North Palm Beach does hereby assess and impose on every insurance company, corporation or
other insurer now engaged in or carrying on, or who shall hereafter engage in or carry on
the business of casualty insurance as shown by the records of the State Treasurer in his
capacity as State Insurance Commissioner, an excise or license tax in addition,to,any
lawful license or excise tax now levied by the Village of North Palm Beach amounting to
ONE (1) PER CENT of the gross amount of receipts of premiums. from policyholders on all
premiums collected on casualty insurance policies covering property within the corporate
limits of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 114-1965 be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SECOND, FINAL READING AND PASSAGE THIS 28th DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1967.
