Ordinance 135 Adopting Budget for FY 1966-67 ORDINANCE N0, 135_66 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA LEVYING A TAX ON REAL i~ PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1966, FIXING THE TOTAL VALUATION THEREON AND THE TAX MILEAGE RATE THEREON FOR SAID YEAR: ADOPTING A FISCAL BUDC~T FOR THE FISCAL YEAR NOVEMBER 1, 1966 1b OCTOBER 31, 1967, INCLUSIVE, FOR THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT AND DEBT SERVICE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH AND FOR THE PARTICULAR IISE OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB: APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR a EXPENDITURES AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE. ~ ~ * ~ ~ ~ ~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: r ~ LI Section 1. That for the pear ending December 31, 1967 the valuation of all property within the Village of North Palm Beach,, excludiag property owned by the Village of North Falm Beach, Palm Beach County, State of Florida, and those properties exempted by State, County or Village laws and ordinances, is hereby determined to be. and is fixed as follows: GROSS ASSESSED VALUATION AS EQUALIZED X57,516,821 HOMESTEAD 'EXEMPTION #6,9/4,555 WIDOiIS~ & DISABILITY EXEMPTION 20,500 OTHER EXEMPTIONS 2,65G.916 TOTAL EXEMPTIONS 9,620,OD1 NET ASSESSED VALUATION X47,896,820 A copy of the property valuation is attached hereto, marked Exhibit D, and by reference made a part hereof. For the purpose of taxation, the above amounts less authorized and approved homestead, widows and disability exemptions, will be and are hereby taxed at the rate set for the year 1967, A. D, Section 2. For the year ending December 31, 1967, a tax of eight and seven-tenths mills on the dollar shall be and is hereby levied, and shall be collected on all real estate within the Village of North Palm Beach, not specifically designated as homestead property or owned by the Municipality and/or expre:asly exempted by the laws and Constitution of Florida, for the purpose of raising funds for the improvement and government of the Village, and for the payment of its obligations and expenses. and for the purpose of carrying out the purposes and duties granted and imposed by its charter; Which is a tax of eight and sevea-tenths mills that shall be and is hereby levi'.ed and shall be collected on all real estate as set forth in above Section 1 leas homestead widows} and disability exemptions, for the purpose of raising funds for the payment of the General Government Fund, Debt Service Fund and North Palm Beach Country Club Fund purposes for the Village of North Palm Beach and is set forth hereafter in budget form. Sectioa 3. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1967, revenues for the General Government Fund and Debt Service Fund of the Village are anticipated as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and by reference made apart hereof. Attached hereto, marked Exhibit B, is an index to the expenditures set forth in Exhibit C, which said Exhibit B is by reference made a part hereof. Section 5. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1967, revenues for the North Palm Heach Country Club are anticipated as set forth on Exhibit F attac hed hereto and by refer- ence made a part hereof. Section 6. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1967 the following expendi- • tares for the North Palm Beach Country Club are hereby appropriated as set forth on Exhibit H attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. Attached hereto, marked Exhibit G, is an index to the expenditures set forth in Exhibit H, which said Exhibit 0 is by reference made a part hereof. Section 7. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be delivered by the Village Clerk to the Village Tax Assessor, together with. the tax assessment roll as equalized, and the Tax Assessor shall then proceed to assess and extend the taxes on the tax assessment roll according to and in the proportion to the valuation entered therein; when this has been done, ' the Tax Assessor shall deliver the roll to the Village Clerk who shall certify and deliver same, or a copy thereof, to the Village Tax Collector and the latter shall beginning November 1,1966, proceed in the manner provided by law to collect and receive said taxes. Section $. A statement of calculations for the tax levy of eight and seven-tanths mills for the fiscal year ending Octobc;r 31, 1967 is set forth on Exhibit E which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. Section 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. • Placed on first reading during a recessed session of the September 13, 1966 Regular Meeting o£ the Village Council held on October 4, 1966.
