ORDINANCE NO. 133 - 1966
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE 7 WHICH REGULATES THE BUSINESS OF MANUFACTURING, SET,TITNG OR IN
ANYWISE DEALING IN LIQUORS, WINES, BEERS OR OTHER BEVERAGES CONTAINING MORE
THAN ONE PERCEN'1'UM OF ALCOHOL BY WEIGHT AND OTHER MATT.E.RS; BY LIMITING- THE
LOCATION OF PLACES OF BUSINESSES wi BE SUCH BEVERAGES MAY BE SOLD IN
RELATION TO CHURCHES, SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS, AND OTHER
LICENSED RETAIL SELLERS OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
BE IT.ORDA.INED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 12 of Ordinance 7 of the Village of North Palm
Beach be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Section 12. Areas within which licenses shall not be issued.
No license shall be issued to a place of business where business
authorized by such license is prohibited by the Zoning Ordinances
of the Village. No license shall be issued under this Ordinance
where the proposed place of business is within 1000 feet of a
church, public or private school, hospital, park or playground,
or a place of business of. another licensed retail seller of
alcoholic beverages.
The measurement provided above for 1000 feet shall be made or
taken from the main front entrance or entrances of such church,
public or private school, hospital, park or playground, or place
of business of another licensed retail seller of alcoholic bev-
erages, to the main front entrance of the applicant's proposed
place of business along the route of ordinary pedestrian traffic.
The restrictions of this section shall not apply to the sale of
beer, ale or wine at retail, not to be consumed on the premises."
Section 2. The terms of this Ordinance shall not apply to any
presently existing licensed retail seller of alcoholic beverages so long as
such licensee continues to be so licensed at his present location.
