Ordinance 129 Platting of Subdivisions - Exceptions to Requirements for Street Lighting• ORDINANCE N0. 129- 1966 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PAI~1(I BEACH, FLORIDA, A~NDING THE REQUIR~iTS FOR PLATTING OF SUBDIVISIONS IN THE VILLAGE BY PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS TO THE REQUI~~NTS FOR STREET LIGHTING OF ALL LANDS HEREINAFTER PLATTID VIITHIN THE VILLAGE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. ~ ~- -~ -~ ' BE IT ORDAINID BY ~ VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAII1~ BEACH, FLORIDA, Section 1 The re uirements for the lattin of land and develo ment . q p g p of subdivisions within the territorial limits of the Village as set forth in Ordinance 25 of said Village, as supplemented and amended to date, and in particular Ordinance 113-65, are hereby further amended by adding to Section • 16 of said Ordinance Section 16.11 to read as follows: "Section 16.11. An exception may be granted to Section 16.1 by application to the Building Board of Appeals of the village. Such exception may be granted by the Building Board of Appeals if it finds that the applicant seeking a departure from the provisions of Section 16.1 meets the following standards or rules of guidance: (a) That the subdivision shall provide for the installation of lamps of at least 150 watts installed on private pro- perty throughout an entire platted subdivision with not less than one such light for each building lot within said subdivision. These lights must be erected on each building lot prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for such building. The location of all such private light fixtures must be shown on the plat plan at the time of submittal. (b) Such street lighting must be controlled by a single switch for the entire subdivision, which is operated by a mechanical device such as an electric eye, etc. (c) Such street lighting must be continually supplied by power and bulbs, and upon the failure of the private owners to furnish these, the Village must have the power to replace bulbs and supply power to the lights. (d) A11 such light fixtures shall be of the same design and built to the same specifications, thus insuring uniformity of lighting within the entire subdivision." • Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, FIRST READING THIS 26 day of Aril , 1966.
