' ORDINANCE NO. 42
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20
AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, THE SAME BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID VILLAGE,
REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERPY_FROM THE R-1, SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT, AND RECLASSIFYING
SAID PROPERTY AS R-2, MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; BY DIRECTING TAP VILLAGE CLERK TO
BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY PROVIDING FOR TEE REPEAL OF_ORDINANCES. IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES„
WHEREAS, the Village Council, pursuant to authority vested in it under Section 14
of Ordinance No. 20, the same being thecomprehensive zoning ordinance of said Village, has
deemd it advisable and necessary to amend said zoning ordinance in certain respects; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing relating to said proposed amendment was duly held pur-
suant to publication of the date and purpose of said hearing as prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined itwill be to the best interest of
public welfare, safety and morals to amend Ordinance No. 20 in the manner discussed and pro-
posed at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TEE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 20 entitled *A. COMPREHENSIVE ORDINANCE REGULATING
THE USES OF LAND, WATER, BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES WITHIN THE :TILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE OR OTHER PURPOSES; REGULATING THRLOCATION, HEIGHT,
SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND.OTHER OPEN SPACES, THE DENSITY AND
DISTRIBUTION OF POPULATION AND FOR SAID PURPOSES, CREATING SIX (6) DISTRICTS AND ESTABLISH-
ING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF AND ADOPTING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS USED;
ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS PRO-
VISIONS", as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended in the following respects,
to wit:
The following described property is hereby removed from the zoning classification
R-1 Single Family Dwelling District:
Lots 36 and 37, Block 40, Plat No.6, Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, accord-
ing to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 26, page 12, Public Records of Palm
Beach County, Florida.
Said land shall henceforth be classified R-2 Multiple Family Dwelling District.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to reflect
upon the official zoning map, by hatching or other appropriate means of designa-
tion, the changes in zoning classification effected under this amending ordinance
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval as
provided by law.
