Ordinance 070 Amendment to Ord. #20• ORDINANCE NO. 70 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, ' FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20, BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORD- INANCE OF THE VILLAGE BY REMO'JING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE R-3 APARTMENT DWELLING DISTRICT AND RE-CLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY AS R-1 SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT AND/OR C-lA LIMITED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; BY DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP ~0 DATE; BY PROVIDING ' FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND FOR OTHER. PURPOSES. WHEREAS, The Village Council pursuant to authority vested in it under Section 14 of Ordinance No. 20, the same being the comprehensive zoning ordinance of said Village, has deemed it advisable and necessary to amend said zoning ordinance in certain respects; and WHEREAS, a public hearing relating to said proposed amendments was duly held pursuant to publication of the date and purpose of said hearing as prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined that it will be to the best interest of public welfare, safety and morals to amend Ordinance No. 20 in the manner discussed and proposed at said hearing; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 20 entitled " A COMPREHENSIVE ORD_ INANCE REGULATING THE USES OF LAND, WATER, BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE OR OTHER PURPOSES; REGULATING THE LOCATION, HEIGHT, SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, THE DENSITY AND DIS- TRIBUTION OF POPULATION AND FOR SAID PURPOSES, CREATING SIX (6) DISTRICTS; • DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS USED; ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF ADNSTMENT AND PRO- VIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS PROVISIONS" as amended by and the same is hereby further amended in the following respects, to-wit: 1. The following described lands are hereby rezoned as more part- icularly set forth below, and the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to amend the official zoning map of said Village so that the changes effected hereunder are appropriately designated thereon: a. The following described land is hereby removed from ' the respective z~n.ing classifications R-3 Apartment Dwelling District, and C-lA Limited Commercial District, to-wit: Ordinance #70 Paae 2. A parcel of land in Sections 9 and 16, Township X42 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, more particularly described as follows: Plat known as Yacht Club Addition to Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, as recorded in Plat Book 26, pages 249-251 inclusive, Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida. Said land shall be rezoned as follows: a. Lots 1 and 2, Block 73; Lots 1 - 6 inclusive, Block 72: Lots 1 - 15 inclusive, Block 71; Lots 1 - 15 inclusive, Block 70; shall be rezoned C1A Limited Commercial District. b. Lots .1 - 16 inclusive, Block 55; Lots 1 - 19 inclusive, Block 56; Lots 1 - 7 inclusive, Block 57; Lots 1 - 17 inclusive, Block 58; Lots 1 - 17 inclusive, Block 59; Lots 1 13, inclusive, Block 60; Lots 1 - 14 inclusive, Block 61; Lots 1 - 20 inclusive, Block 62 Lots 1 - 14 inclusive, Block 63; Lots 1 - 19 inclusive, Block 64; Lots 1 - .14 inclusive, Block 65; Lots 1 - 25 inclusive, Block 66; Lots 1 - 9 inclusive, Block 67; Lots I - 25, inclusive, Block 68; Lots 1 - 15 inclusive, Block 69; shall be rezoned R,-1 Single Family Dwelling District. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval as provided by law.
