The weather was as "ugly as a
bouquet of elbows" for the first two rounds
of the Presidents' Tournament in February.
Finally, the temperature changed and the
last round was played under blue skies and
balmy temperatures.

ALICE JOHNS had two consecutive chip-ins
one Wednesday and is playing super golf
these days?
We're happy to announce the winners
in the 18 holers. However, due to a play-off
between nine holers ALICE LALONE and
JEANETTE FINDLAY, we are forced to go
to press without the final results.
ELLIE RAMSAY and PEGGY
WIGGINS chose business careers rather
than chase that little white ball around the
fairways? We miss you two on Ladies' Day
but there's always Sunday.
Over-all winner in the_18 holers is
RUTH GRUENBERGER. In Championship
class the winner is AUDREY BOLT. In RUTH DEVLIN (and her better half)
Class A, the first place winner is JEAN won a brand new Continental Mark 5 in a
KOHL. In Class B, CHARLENE KINNAIRD recent church raffle. What wonderful

Your NPB Country Club
Country Club activities were discussed when Don
Kazimir, center, who seeks re-election to the Village
Council, met with Mrs. Gerry Porter, president of the
Women's Golf Association, and Mickey Rooney,
president of the Men's Golf Association.
As a member of the North Palm Beach Country Club, Councilman Don
Kazimir advocates sound business practices in the club's administration.
He favors continued improvement of club operations and services to the
members and to all the village.
During his term in office, he has advocated lowering the real estate
millage tax rate - which Council achieved thereby offsetting higher property
valuations recently imposed by the county.
A believer in improved general recreational activities, he initiated
Council approval of construction of the ballfield at Allamanda Park. He also
backed construction of the new recreation building at Osborne Park.
He has crusaded against vandalism, which has spread in some areas of
the village. And he seeks full enforcement of the anti-noise ordinance, for which
he voted.
Don also is for strict control of zoning and density, to preserve the
VILLAGE WAY OF LIFE.
Please vote on March 21, and on April 4 if there is a runoff. You'll find Don
listed in Group 5 on the ballot.
DON'S BACKGROUND
*Graduate of Columbia College (B. A.) and Columbia University School
of Engineering (B.S.I.E.).
* Nine-Year Navy Veteran, "qualified for command" in Navy
Submarines.
* Former captain of famed research submarine Ben Franklin.
* Vice president and co-founder of Solar Development, Inc.
*Selected as Region 10 member, Florida State Regional Energy Action
Committee.
* Homeowner in North Palm Beach for 7 years.
* Married, two children.
