VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH
OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
Park and Recreation Month
WHEREAS; parks and recreation are an integral part of the Village of North Palm Beach, enhancing the quality of life for
residents and visitors alike; and
WHEREAS; the Village's parks, recreational facilities, waterfront amenities, fishing opportunities, and community
gathering spaces provide unique opportunities for recreation, physical activity, relaxation, and social connection while
enhancing the coastal character of North Palm Beach; and
WHEREAS; parks and recreation programs promote health and wellness by encouraging active lifestyles through youth
and adult sports, camps, fitness opportunities, special events, and recreational activities; and
WHEREAS; parks and recreation facilities serve as important community assets that bring people together, foster a sense
of belonging, and strengthen community pride; and
WHEREAS; the Village's parks and natural areas contribute to the environmental health and beauty of North Palm
Beach while providing opportunities for residents to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors; and
WHEREAS; parks and recreation support the local economy by enhancing property values, attracting visitors, and
making the Village of North Palm Beach a desirable place to live, work, and play; and
WHEREAS; the Village Council recognizes the dedication and contributions of park and recreation professionals, volunteers,
community partners, and residents who help maintain and enhance these valuable community resources; and
WHEREAS; the National Recreation and Park Association has designated July as Park and Recreation Month to celebrate the
vital role parks and recreation play in building healthy, vibrant, and resilient communities; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach that July 2026
is hereby recognized as:
PARK AND RECREATION MONTH
in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, and all residents are encouraged to visit local parks, participate in
recreational programs, and celebrate the many benefits that parks and recreation provide to our community.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Village of North Palm Beach to be affixed
this 25th day of June 2026.
