A few fad about the area that Is now the Village of North Palm
min_ Book in the early 1920's the area where our village now
Winds was ITtcludad in the hands parched by Harry S. Kelsey,
Prarpdent of East Coast Finarice Company. At that tlma the area
was relarrec1 to as "The World's Vielnter Playground", The fast
fioaet Finance Company went bankrupt durFng In the 1929
depression. Tesdem Incorporated, a Sir Harry Oaks Corporation,
bought their holdings.
The area passed successively through the hands Cf Ratph Stolkin
srid insurance magnet, John D. Mac Arthur_ In 1955 the Ross
Brothers Firm_ purchased 4 square miles from Mac Arthur's
rawest. This was Swampland which was bordered on the north
by an unused Country club, on the east by US. I, on the south by
a trickle of water known only to natives of the area as the Ea -man
Feuer, and on the west by more undeve4oPed acreA9e.
The Village of Nadh Palm Beach was organized under Chapter
3148, Laws of FForida, ACI of the Fkorlda Legislature of Talfaha$-
sea, the 24th clay of October A.O. 1956.
