ROLL CALL 2. NEW BUSINESS Leonard Rubin [ ] Village Attorney Melissa Teal [ ] Village Clerk a. VILLAGE SIGN CODE Discussion concerning an amendment to the Code of Ordinances to clarify what constitutes "art" for purposes of the Sign Code. COUNCIL CONSENSUS: Direction to staff to prepare an ordinance for 1st Reading on 1/14/2010 to delete subsection 6-112(L) from the Code of Ordinances. Further discussion on art to be held at an upcoming Workshop Session. b. VEGETATIVE DEBRIS CODE Discussion concerning an amendment to the Code of Ordinances to repeal January 2009 amendments to Chapter 14, Health and Sanitation, regarding the Vegetative Debris Code. COUNCIL CONSENSUS: Direction to staff to continue educational outreach to residents regarding provisions of the vegetative debris code. c. RESIDENTIAL PRIVILEGES Discussion concerning extending "residential privileges" to taxpayers who own real property in the Village but do not reside within the corporate limits of the Village. COUNCIL CONSENSUS: Further discussion of this topic to be held at an upcoming Workshop Session. d. COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES STATUS Discussion concerning the status of commercial properties and office space vacancies within the Village. COUNCIL CONSENSUS: Further discussion of this topic to be held at an upcoming Workshop Session. e. SOUTH FLORIDA EAST COAST CORRIDOR TRANSIT ANALYSIS STUDY (SFECCTA) Discussion concerning FDOT request for comment by participating agencies on Phase 2 SFECCTA documents. COUNCIL CONSENSUS: Council had no comments on the SFECCTA documents. 3. ADJOURNMENT This agenda represents the tentative agenda for the scheduled meeting of the Village Council. Due to the nature of governmental duties and responsibilities, the Village Council reserves the right to make additions to, or deletions from, the items contained in this agenda.
