AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, PALlv4 BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20, BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE BY REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE R-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT AND RE-CLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY AS R-3 APARTMENT DWELLING
DISTRICT; BY AMENDING THE FLOOR AREA REGULATIOiJS FOR R-3 APARTMENT DWELLING D
DISTRICTS; BY REPEALING THE GETQ:ERAL PROVISIONS FO SAID ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT
' TO YARD SPACE REQUIREMENTS; BY DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO BRING THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY PROVIDING FOA THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

• WHEREAS, the Village Council pursuant -L'o authority vested in it under
Section 14 0£ Ordinance No. 20, the same being the comprehensive zoning ordin-
ance of said Village, has deemed it advisable and necessary to amend said zoning
ordinance in certain respects; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing relating to said proposed amendments was
duly held pursuant to publication of the date and purpose of said hearing as
prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined that it will be to the best
interest of public welfare, safety and morals to amend Ordinance No. 20 in the
manner discussed and proposed at said hearing; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 20 entitled " A COMPREHENSIVE ORDINANCE
REGULATING THE USES OF LAND, WATER, BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES WITHIN THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR TRADE; INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE OR OTHER PURPOSES;
REGULATING THE LOCATION, HEIGHT, SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF
YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, THE DENSITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF POPULATION AND FOR
• SAID PURPOSES, CREATITdG SIX (6) DISTRICTS AND FSTABLISHIIdG THE BOUNDARIES
THEREOF AND AI~PTING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS USED;
ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION
OF ITS PROVISIONS" as amended by and the same is hereby further amended in the
following respects, to-wits
1. The following described property is hereby removed from the zoning
classification R-2 Multiple Family Dwelling District,
Lots 22 thru 30, inclusive, Block 30, as
shown on the plat of the Village of Nosth
Palm Beach, Plat No. 3, recorded in Plat
Book 25, pages 175 and 176, Public Records
of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Said land shall henceforth be classified R-3 Apartment Dwelling District.
2. Subsection "F° of Section 6A, R~3 AP~\RTMENT DWELLING DISTRICT, in
said Ordinance No. 20, as amended by Ordinance No 29, is hereby amended to

F. Floor Area Regulations
1. In multiple-family dwelling Sturctures, each
dwelling unit having one bedroom shall have a minimum
floor area of six hundred and ~sc~y (660j square feet,
An additional one-hundred and forty (140)) square-feet
of floor as'ea shall be required for each additional
bedroom provided.
' 3. Paragraph 2 of SECTION 11. GENERAL PROVISIONS of said Ordinance
No: 20 shall henceforth be deleted and is hereby repealed.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to reflect upon the official zoning map, by hatching or other appropriate
means of designation, the changes in zoning classification effected under
this amending ordinance.
Sectian 3. That all ordinances os parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and approval.as provided by la~v.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on first reading this 8th day o£ November ,
1960.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on second and final reading this 13th day of
December 1960.
