VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 1997

Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 8:48 p.m. All members of Council were
present except President Pro Tem Kelley, who was absent due to illness. All members
of staff were present.
The order of the agenda was changed by bringing Items 3.d., 3.e. and 3. f. forward.
PRELIMINARY CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS - PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY
Discussion was held concerning the Planning Commission's findings and approval of
preliminary plans, with conditions, of the Village's application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness for the proposed Public Safety facility. Larry Smith addressed the Council
on behalf of the residents of Mariner's Key regarding the Planning Commission's
recommendations. Individual residents of Mariner's Key also addressed the Council with
their concerns.
This item, as well as items 3.e. and 3.f. relating to the Public Safety facility, will be
addressed again at the next workshop on September 11, 1997.
Due to the approaching 11 p.m. curfew, the following agenda items were moved, without
discussion, to the next Regular Session agenda of September 11, 1997:
Item 3.g. - Sanctuary Cove Phase II Boundary Plat
Item 3.h. - Corridor Study on U. S. 1 North of Parker Bridge
Item 3.i. - Evaluation form for the Village Clerk
Item 3.j. - Bid award for Community Center shutters

1997.
ADJOURNMENT
Having reached the curfew of 11 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
