AN ORDINANCE OF Thh VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVING
FOR THE CLEARING AND CLEANING OF ALL BRUSH AND WEEDS, DEAD AND DYING TREES, STUMPS, ROOTS, OBNOXIOUS
GROWTH, FILTH, GARBAGE, TRASH AND DEBRIS FROM CERTAIN PROPERTY, LYING WITHIN 'InL CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE VILLAGE; PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID WORK SHALL BE CONDUC'i`1' AND PROVIDING THAT THE
VILLAGE SHALL CONTRACT FOR SUCH WORK AND CHARGE THE COST OF SAME TO 'inn PROPnsHTY AFFECTED THEREBY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TSE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That it is hereby found and declared to be expedient to the preservation of
the public health, welfare and beautification of the Village of North Palm Beach, that all platted
lots within the Village, lying adjacent to or abutting upon any public street or thoroughfare, be
cleared and cleaned of all brush, weeds, dead and dying trees, stumps, roots, obnoxious growth,
filth, garbage, trash and debris.
Section 2. 'That all of said property above described shall be cleared and cleaned of
garbage and trash, debris or all other material described above, be removed or otherwise disposed
of in order that the public health, safety and welfare of the Village may be insured to each and
every citizen of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 3. That the Village Manager of the Village of North Palm Beach be and he is
hereby authorized to proceed with said work with all due and convenient expedience; that said
Manager is authorized to contract for said, work in the name of the Village.
Section 4. That the Village Manager of the Village of North Pain Beach is forthwith
authorized, directed and empowered to publish the following notice setting forth the adoption of
this ordinance in the Palm Beach Post once each week for two (2) consecutive weeks, and by posting
a copy of said notice at the door of the Village Wail of said Village, to -wit:
To all persons, firms, associations or corporations holding property within the Village
of North Palm Beach, Florida; notice is hereby given that on the day of
1958, at a regular session of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Fpach, an ordinance
was adopted by the said Council directing the Village Manager to clear or clean or cause to be
cleared and cleaned all platted lots within the limits of said Village, lying adjacent to or
abutting Upon any public street or thoroughfare, by removing therefrom all brush, weeds, dead and
dying trees, stumps, roots, obnoxious growth, filth, garbage, or debris. Such clearing shall be
under the supervision of the Village Manager and in compliance with the ordinance of the Village
of -North Palm Beach pertaining thereto.

Section 5. That upon completion of said work the Village of North Palm Beach shall pay
the expenses of same out of any funds of the Village available for that purpose, and the Village
Council shall assess the cost of all said work or such part or portions thereof as it may determine

upon the property cleared and cleaned, and the Village shall have a lien therefor against each and
every parcel of land so cleared, cleaned and benefited thereby.
