A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF NEW CHAIRS
FOR THE VILLAGE COUNCIL CHAMBERS FROM AMERICA'S OFFICE
SOURCE AND INCREASING THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS EXPENDED
TO AMERICA'S OFFICE SOURCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024 TO $50,000; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village obtained three quotes for the purchase of new chairs for the Village Council
Chambers and is seeking to purchase the chairs from America's Office Source at a cost of $21,182.07;
and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the Council Chamber chairs, combined with the purchase of office
furniture from America's Office Source by other departments, will increase the total expenditures to
this vendor during the current fiscal year beyond $25,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures require that the Village Council
approval expenditures to a single vendor that exceed $25,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests
of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1.
The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of chairs for the Village Council
Chambers at a cost of $21,182.07, with funds expended from Account No. A4801-35243 (Village
Council — Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), and hereby increases the total amount of funds expended
to America's Office Source for the purchase of office furniture during Fiscal Year 2024 to $50,000.00.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
