A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2024 PETERBILT FRONT LOAD REFUSE COLLECTION TRUCK FROM
SOUTHERN SEWER EQUIPMENT SALES AND SERVICE, INC. PURSUANT
TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING SOURCEWELL
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING CONTRACT FOR WASTE AND
RECYCLING VEHICLES; DECLARING AN EXISTING SANITATION
COLLECTION VEHICLE AS SURPLUS PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff requested the purchase of one additional front load refuse collection
vehicle for use by the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended the purchase of one 2024 Peterbilt 520 Front Load
Refuse Collection Truck from Southern Sewer Equipment Sales and Service, Inc. pursuant to
pricing established in an existing Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract for Refuse Trucks
(Contract No. 110223-NWY); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare one existing 2016 sanitation collection vehicle
as surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2024 Peterbilt 520 Front
Load Refuse Collection Truck from Southern Sewer Equipment Sales and Service, Inc. pursuant
to pricing established in an existing Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract for Refuse
Trucks (Contract No. 110223-NWY) at a total cost $344,776.00, with funds expended from
Account No. Q5541-66410 (Special Projects Fund — Automotive). The Village Council further
authorizes the Village Manager to take all actions necessary to effectuate the purchase.
Section 3. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new collection vehicle,
the Village Council declares the following vehicle as surplus property and authorizes its disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:
One 2015 Mack front -load refuse vehicle #379 (VIN: 1 M2AUO2C9FM009700)
