Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Despite last Sunday's
rainy, blustery weather,
75 loyal Lion's Club
members and spouses
,curned out to celebrate
the club's 25th anni-
versary of service to the
community and to the
cause of lionism, at the
North Palm Beach Coun-
try Club. William "Bud"
Swartz, Sr. District
Governor, District 35-D
was the guest speaker
for the dinner.
In its 25 years of out-
standing service to the
cause of lionism, the
North Palm Beach Club
has contributed reading
aids for the visually
handicapped to the com-
munity libraries, eye-
glasses for the needy
and manpower, as well
as continued support to
the Florida Lion's Club
projects for sight pre-
servation.
In his President's
message, W.W. "Bud"
Phillips said "As Lions
in the community ser-
vice, we give freely our
help in the fight against
the defect of sight,
hearing and diabetes.
Now that we have start-
ed, let's not waiver in
this fight. Let us stand
together and fight these
afflictions until mankind
is free of them forever."
He concluded his let-
ter by saying the most
motivating speech that
their commitment

NPB Lions to renew

Phillips, Everett T.

President said, in part,

time of your club's 25th
anniversary, it is an

ulate you on sharing the
Vision of Service with
your fellow man in your
community."
