HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-10 Election ResultsRESOLUTION NO. 10-88 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD CN MARCH 8, 1988. WHEREAS, on the 8th day of March, 1988, a General Election was held in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, for the purpose of electing Councilmen to the Village Council for Groups 1, 3 and 5; and WHEREAS, by due resolution the following named persons were appointed inspectors, clerks and deputies of said election: PBJC North, Student AFF Building - Precinct 34: Inspectors: Margaret R. Klestinec Bertha D. Koehler Lois L. Marquardt Margaret LaGrange Woody Clerk: Margaret L. Hutcheson Deputies: Melva D. Berres Diana M. Clark Faith Lutheran Church, Precinct 48: Inspectors: Caryl B. Brown Barbara C. Duke Janet N. Heaton Marion G. Little Virginia L. Scott Nancy Jean Sutterfield Clerk: Earlene P. Gerlach Council Chambers, Village Hall, Precinct 49: Inspectors: Regina K. Johnson Carol E. Malon Mary E. Miltenberger June L. Mosier Josephine I. Rincicotti Eleanor V. Watt Clerk: Margo J. Born Old Port Cove, Recreation Roam between the North and South Quav Buildings, Precinct 50: Inspectors: Alicia D. Didia Clara M. Eihausen Jane F. Kachellek Helen S. Murray Isabel J. Mitchell Deputy: Janice Hermann Carlin WHEREAS, on March 8, 1988, said inspectors, clerks and deputies, after taking and subscribing their oaths in accordance with law, made their returns to the Village Council, which returns certified that the total count of ballots cast, including absentee ballots, is For Village Councilman, Group 1s Judy Pierman Unopposed For Village Councilman, Group 3: Jerry Gardner Manny Grinn For Village Councilman, Group 5: 2.916 votes 1,082 votes Tom Valente Unopposed and, WHEREAS, The Village Council has duly canvassed the returns of said General Election and find that the returns of the inspectors, clerks and deputies of said election are true and correct tabulations of the votes cast; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Village Council finds and declares that the following are the results of the General Election for March 8, 1988. For Village Councilman, Group 1: Judy Pierman Unopposed For Village Councilman, Group 3: Jerry Gardner 2.916 votes Manny Grinn 1,082 votes -2- For Village Councilman, Group 5: Tom Valente Unopposed Section 2. That the following candidates are hereby declared to be elected to the respective offices as follows: Village Councilman, Group 1: Judy Pierman Village Councilman, Group 3: Village Councilman, Group 5: em Valente Section 3.
