A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF A. B. DICK PRODUCTS OF THE PALM BEACHES FOR ONE
PRINTING MACHINE IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,995.00, FROM GENERAL SERVICES
ACCOUNT NO. 10-519-019-66000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of A. B. Dick Products of the Palm Beach, copy
of which is attached to this Resolution, is hereby accepted by the Village
of North Palm Beach in accordance with its terms. The appropriate Village
officials are hereby directed to advise said bidder of this acceptance.
The monies are to be expended from General Services Account No. 10-519-019-
66000.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 22nd DAY OF OCTOBER, 1987.

Specifications
Action Lever: Controls print preparation cycles. Action lever
lowers Ink roller into contact with plate, images blanket, and
starts paper feed. Number of machine cycles in each position
controllable by the operator. Movement of action lever to
neutral deactivates functions in proper sequence. Provides for
less operator fatigue by reducing separate control functions.
Paper Feed: Feed table has a load capacity of approximately
20 inches of paper stock. Direct paper feed system has four
front blowers and nine vacuum feed tubes for efficient sheet
separation and positive pick-up. Vacuum feed tubes have
individual shutoff valves to facilitate quick paper width
changes. Control with calibrated markings adjust for changes
in paper thickness to ensure uninterrupted. continuous feeding
of paper. Buckle control also provided to adjust forward thrust
of paper for positive vertical register with different paper
weights. Calibrated scales for setting of paper guides. Paper
guides are mounted on swing -away support bars clearing feed
area of physical obstructions for greater convenience in
loading paper. Reduces paper waste.
Cylinder Operation: Master and impression cylinders
automatically adjust to the blanket cylinder to compensate for
changes in master or impression paper thickness. Chrome
plated surface repels ink in areas not covered by master.
Master and impression cylinders automatically separate from
the blanket cylinder when paper ceases to feed. Master and
impression cylinders automatically contact blanket cylinder
when paper Is fed. Manual control permits contact of blanket
and master cylinders when necessary to develop image on
blanket. Reduces manual operations that an operator would
have to do when changing plates or paper stock.

The A.B.Dick 8805 Printers Devil Is a rugged and durable
basic offset duplicator designed to deliver high quality
printed copies at low cost.
Aquamatic and Ink Roller System: Twelve rollers include
three oscillating rollers, two ductor rollers, five distributor
rollers and two ball -bearing Ink form rollers. Ink form rollers
are of different diameters for Improved ink coverage. Provides
consistent, quality copy. Simplifies new operator learning
experience.
Safety System: Plastic guards provided to protect operator
from principal mechanical hazards. Swing -away, electrically
Interlocked guards permit access to areas of operational need.
Machine power discontinues when guard is moved out of pro-
tective position.
Universal Plate Clamp: Accommodates !Unbar punched
metallpaperplates. Adjustment knobs permit lateral plate
movement as well es skew alignment of plate In response to
copy position adjustments. Head clamp also has positive bite
feature for use with straightedge masters. Enables operators
to make minor changes without redoing plates or moving
paper stock.
Paper Receiver: The 8805 Is equipped with a receiving tray
that holds approximately 500 sheets of substance 20 Ib. paper.
Ink Fountain: Removable type has twelve adjusting screws
and eleven position ratchet control.
