At North Palm Beach Country Club Village Manager Albin R. Olson has announced that cons- truction has started on a country club building and swimming pool for the Village of North P alm Beach. During a Village Council meeting recently, contracts were signed with the Thomas A. The Hodges contract calls for completion within 180 days. A penalty of $325. for each day over that period will be impo- sed. The Atlas contract con - tains a lesser penalty clause, Mr. Olson said. At a later date, contracts area paving, landscaping o f the grounds, furniture, and di- ning room and k itchen equip- ment for the new clubhouse and the pool area. This is the first part of a long-range program planned fO the enlargement and beautifi - interest not only immediate cation of recreational facilities in the Village of North P a 1 rn Beach. The work to be done will ensure adequate recreational facilities for the present home- owners of the Village, and for the projected population of the future in the area. North Palm Beach offers one of the finest gol f courses in southeastern Florida. The ad - dition of a new clubhouse and an Olympic swimming pool will residents of North P alm Beach, but those to the north and t o the south who have no facilities of this kind available in their own communities, Both t h e golf club and the pool are open for membership.
