Beach Youth Athletic Association.
They are in the Major League, which
is for youngsters 10, 11 and 12 years
old.
Saturday the Kiwanis won their
first game of the season. The 9-2
victory raised their record to 1-3.
t The manager of the Kiwanis is
Warren Blancherd. This is his first
year of coaching and he thinks it's just
great. He has other coaches that help
him out, Ed Pelzar and Ed Preti. "It
works out real well," Blanchard said.
-` ` We three are very busy but one of us
can always be at practice." Betty
Green also helps out the team by
being the Team Mother.
Blanchard feels the NPBYAA offers
the children quite a lot. "A lot of our
players have never played organized
ball. Thisgives them the opportunity
to play under supervision and . it lets
them learn to win and lose."

The Panthers are sponsored by
Kendall Construction. They are
members of the , North Palm Beach
Little League and Frank Russo is the
manager.
The Panthers have been very
uccessful. Last year they won the.
,eague Championship and this year
L Ley are in first place with an
tnbienzished 3-0 record. In their last
game, the Panthers had an eight run
rally in the bottom of the fifth inning
to post a 10-2 victory.
Manager Russo has been coaching
little league ball for 15 years. Nine of
those years have been here, but the
other six years he coached in New
Jersey. Russo is helped by the
assistant coach of the Panthers, Don
Ayers. The team mother is Dorothy
Fasulo.
Russo (-aid that he had a very young
team and that only four of the players
eurned from last year's squad.
Russo also commented that he had a
very attentive bunch. "Most of them
listen, and that's the . most important
thin ' . "
