Over the years AAUW has responded to the changing needs of women, but this vision remains the driving force for today's AAUW members, who raise more than $2 million a year to support the AAUW Educational Foundation. The AAUW Educational Foundation has helped more than 6,000 women reach their personal and professional goals through a variety of fellowships and grants, including: American Fellowships; Selected Professions Fellowships; International Fellowships; Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellowships; Career Development Grants; and Community Action Grants. The significance of the Foundation's impact is reflected in the diversity of its former fellows: the late Dr. Judith Resnik, NASA astronaut, 1975-76; Susan Sontag, writer and educator, 1957-58; Dr. Jenny Bramley, physicist, 1935; Patricia Bell -Scott, educator and editor, 1984-85; Hanna Holborn Gray, university president, 1954- 55; Christine Lilyquist, museum curator, 1969; Marina Nunez del Prado, sculptress, 1940; ,Ines Durana, healthcare administrator, 1969; and Ebudane Adegbuyi, agronomist, 1985.
