The North Palm Beach Branch has
,enthusiastically supported its new study
group, Health & Fitness. Commencing
in February, a local instructor discussed
exercise and reviewed the Jane Fonda
book, "Women Coming of Age." In
March the group met at Jupiter Hospital
to hear about nutrition from Dr. Osa
Nyman.
Future programs include a discussion
of Osteroporosis by Dr. Nila Wilbur and
a visit to the Diagnostic Breast Care
Center of the Palm Beach Gardens
Medical Center. Branch members have
appreciated these opportunities to learn
from authorities and to ask questions..

Candidates' night proved a success for the North Palm Beach
Branch Monday, Oct. 20, in the Burt Reynolds Student Center at
the Palm Beach Junior College. Some 15 candidates in the
November election addressed the room full of members and
guests. Each candidate had three minutes to present his views
and state his qualifications. Later over cider and donuts the au-
dience had an opportunity to meet and talk with each candidate
on a one to one basis.
Adding to the excitement of the evening was TV Channel 5's
(NBC)- coverage of this event. .
Judy Pierman, Branch Legislative Chairman hosted the
meeting, assisted by timekeepers: Anne Fitzpatrick, President and
Sue Slone, Treasurer, Molly Cleare, Membership Vice-president,
and her committee welcomed members and guests and Sally
Bailey and her committee provided refreshments.
