Women held the opening
meeting of the 1962-63 year
at the Community Federal
Savings Bank, Riviera
Beach, Monday honoring
new and prospective mem-
bers.

Mrs. Harry Starr all of
Lake Park; Mrs. Matt
Luoma of Riviera Beach,
Mrs. Henry Nevulis and
Mrs. Richard Tomlin of
North Palm Beach, Mrs.
Donald Riccardi of Jupiter,
and Mrs. Donald Sirl of
Palm Beach Shores.
Mrs. William Shick, vice
president and program
chairman, presented each
of the study group chair-
men who told of their plans
for the coming year: Mrs.
Herbert Gildan and Mrs.
Max Schilling, co-chairmen
of the couples book group
announced they would meet
the last Sunday of each
month at 8 p.m. Mrs . Don-
ald Robin, art appreciation
chairman, will meet the
first Monday of each month
at 8 p.m. Mrs. William
Shick will teach a class
of beginners drawing each
Thursday for ten weeks at
8 p.m. starting Sept. 20
at Riviera Beach High
School, Room A-10, f o r
members and their guests.
Mrs. Joseph Heath will
follow this course with a
painting class scheduled
for March. Mrs. Phillip
Wooley and Mrs. Harold
Beery, co-chairmen of the
music appreciation study
group will begin meetings
October 10 at 2:30. Mrs.
Albert Strauss' Internat-
ional Relations group will
meet the fourth Tuesday
of each month to discuss
a selected nation. Mrs. D.
E. Dahlberg will form a
group to compile a list
of authorities on various
subjects for the teachers
use in local schools. Mrs.
Vincent Pappalardo plans
a study group in the form
of Spanish-speaking coffee

nual bookfair will be held
in the Food Fair shopping
center on Nov. 8, 92 10.
Dr. Nicholas Petkas dis-
cussed the Sabine oral vac-
cine and answered mem-
bers' questions concerning
the subject as a finale to
the program.
