A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE FLORIDA STATE BOAR➢ OF BUILDING CO➢ES AND STANDARDS
RECOMMENDING THAT THE BOARD MAKE CERTAIN PROPOSALS TO THE FLORIDA
LEGISLATURE AS REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 74-167, LAWS OF FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida
met in regular session in North Palm Beach, Florida on March 13, 1975;
and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida is a chartered
municipality of the State of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village Council endorses the adoption
of a minimum Building Code for the State of Florida.
Section 2. That the Village Council endorses the adoption of
a Model Code as the minimum Building Code.
Section 3. That the Village Council endorses that the minimum
Model Building Code that is adopted be the Standard Building Codes
(formerly the Southern Standard Building Codes).
Section 4. That the Village Council endorses the concept
that the Building Code adopted require only a local (not a State)
Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
