A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 21, 1972.
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of March, 1972 a General Election
was held in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida for the purpose
of electing Councilmen to the Village Council for Groups 1, 3 and 5, and
WHEREAS, by due resolution the following named persons were
appointed inspectors and clerks of said election:
Faith Lutheran Church. Precinct No. 48:
Inspectors: Esther Bricker
Grete Mc Bride
Faye Lucas
Virginia Tracy
Clerk: Elizabeth Redding
Council Chambers, Village Hall, Precinct No. 49:
Inspectors:
Ralph Cohn
Lillian Drudi
Margaret Fick
Mary Allen
Clerk: Jane Jenkins
Elk's Lodge No. 2069. Precincts No. 50 and 52:
Inspectors: Ruth Brush
Martha Schultz
Jean Ford
Millicent Walter
Clerk: Louise Nash
and,
WHEREAS, on March 21, 1972 said inspectors and clerks, after
taking and subscribing their oaths in accordance with law, made their
returns to the Village Council, which returns certified that the follow-
ing are the results of said General Election, to -wit:
Total Machine Votes: 2087
Total Absentee Votes: 37
For Village Councilman. Groun 1: (2-year term)
Ronald B. Cadby received 1119 votes
Frank W. Carretta received 934 votes
For Village Councilman, Group 3: (2-year term)
Mervin H. McIntyre received 883 votes
H. Mallory Privett, Jr. received 1217 votes
For Village Councilman, Group 5: (2-year term)
George R. Kane received
Francis T. Key, Jr. received
Robert W. Martin received
and,
682 votes
194 votes
1188 votes
WHEREAS, the Village Council has duly canvassed the returns
of said General Election and finds that the returns of the inspectors
and clerks of said election are true and correct tabulations of the
votes cast;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PAIM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council finds and declares that the
following are the results of the General Election of March 21, 1972:
For Village Councilman, Group 1:
Ronald B. Cadby received 1119 votes
Frank W. Carretta received 934 votes
For Village Councilman, Group 3:
Mervin H. McIntyre received 883 votes
H. Mallory Privett, Jr. received 1217 votes
For Village Councilman, Group 5:
George R. Kane received 682 votes
Francis T. Key, Jr. received 194 votes
Robert W. Martin received 1188 votes
Section 2. That the following candidates are hereby declared
to be elected to the respective offices as follows:
Village Councilman, Group 1:
Ronald B. Cadby
Village Councilman, Group 3:
H. Mallory Privett, Jr.
Village Councilman, Group 5:
Robert W. Martin
