A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE RUNOFF ELECTION HELD ON
MARCH 24, 1970.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of March, 1970 a runoff election
was held in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida for the pur-
pose of electing a Councilman to the Village Council for Group
1, and
WHEREAS, by due resolution the following named persons
were appointed Inspectors and Clerks of said election:
Faith Lutheran Church, Precinct No. 48:
Inspectors:
Mrs. Esther Bricker
Mrs. Grete McBride
Mrs. Faye Lucas
Mrs. Virginia Tracy
Clerk: Mrs. Elizabeth Redding
North Palm Beach Elementary School, Precinct No. 49:
Inspectors: Mrs. Joan Keelor
Mrs. Margaret Fick
Mrs. Lillian Drudi
Mrs. Barbara Manning
Clerk: Mrs. Jane Jenkins
Elks Lodge No. 2069, Precinct Nos. 50 and 52:
Inspectors:
Mrs. Ruth Brush
Mrs. Zena Austin
Mrs. Jean Ford
Mrs. Millicent Walter
Clerk: Mrs. Louise Nash
and,
WHEREAS, on March 24, 1970 said Inspectors and Clerks,
after taking and subscribing their oaths in accordance with law,
made their returns to the Village Council, which returns certified
that the following is the result of said runoff election, to -wit:
Total Machine Votes: 1471
Total Absentee Votes: 10
For Village Councilman, Group 1: (2 year term)
Ronald B. Cadby received 1108 votes
Allan V. Everard received 373 votes
and,
WHEREAS, the Village Council has duly canvassed the
returns of said Runoff Election and finds that the returns of
the Inspectors and Clerks of said election are true and correct
tabulations of the votes cast;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council finds and declares that
the following is the result of the Runoff Election of March
24, 1970:
For Village Councilman, Group 1:
Ronald B. Cadby received 1108 votes
Allan V. Everard received 373 votes
Section 2. That the following candidate is hereby de-
clared to be elected to the office of Village Councilman, Group 1:
RONALD B. CADBY
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 24TH DAY OF MARCH, 1970.
