VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH
OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
NORTH PALM BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DAY
WHEREAS, North Palm Beach Elementary School first opened its doors
to the community in 1958, built on its present 10 acre site donated by the
principals of North Palm Beach Properties, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, North Palm Beach Elementary School, located at 401 South
Anchorage Drive is a Title I School that serves grades K-5 in the Palm Beach
County Public Schools district and has received a GreatSchools rating of 6 out
of 10 based on its performance on state standardized tests and a Florida "A"
grade in 2008; and
WHEREAS, the faculty, staff and parents of North Palm Beach Elementary
School are committed to focusing on the growth and development of each child
and providing a solid foundation of knowledge so that each student becomes a
self-motivated, responsible citizen; and
WHEREAS, Village residents, Mayor David Norris and Senator Jeff Atwater,
both attended North Palm Beach Elementary during their formative years; and
WHEREAS, North Palm Elementary School will commemorate 50th Years
of Educational Excellence on May 4, 2009,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, David B. Norris, by virtue of the authority vested in
me as Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim May 4th, 2009
NORTH PALM BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DAY
in the <<'illage of North Palm Beach, Florida.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal
of the Village of North Palm Beach to be affixed this 4th day of May, 2009.
