A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE RUN-OFF ELECTION HELD ON
MARCH 25, 1969.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of March, 1969 a run-off election
was held in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida for the purpose
of electing a Councilman to the Village Council for Group 2, and
WHEREAS, by due resolution the following named persons
were appointed Inspectors and Clerks of said election:
Precinct No. 48, Faith Lutheran Church:

Lois Booth
Faye Lucas
Elizabeth Redding
Precinct No. 49, North Palm Beach Elementary School:

Mrs. Louise Nash
Mr. Ralph Cohn
Mrs. Sarah Bond
Mrs. Lillian Drudi
Mrs. Mary Jane Jenkins
WHEREAS, on March 25, 1969 said Inspectors and Clerks, after
taking and subscribing their oaths in accordance with law, made their
returns to the Village Council, which returns certified that
following is the result of said run-off election, to -wit:
Total Machine Votes: 698
Total Absentee Votes: 16
For Village Councilman, Group 2: (2 year term)
and,

Herbert A. Watt
received 275 votes
received 439 votes
the
WHEREAS, the Village Council has duly canvassed the returns
Run-off Election
and finds that the returns of the Inspectors
and Clerks of said election
cast;
are true and correct tabulations
of the votes
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The Village Council finds and declares that
the following is the result of the Run-off Election of March 25, 1969:
For Village Councilman, Group 2:
James E. Taylor received 275 votes
Herbert A. Watt received 439 votes
Section 2. That the following candidate is hereby declared
to be elected to the office of Village Councilman, Group 2:
Herbert A. Watt
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 25TH DAY OF MARCH, 1969.
