HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 1967-310a Appointing Village Clerk Dolores Walker• RESOLUTION NO. 310A-67 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A VILLAGE CLERK FOR SUCH VILLAGE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8 through 11, Article III, of Chapter 31481, Laws of Florida, Extraordinary Session 1956, the same being the Charter for said Village, DOLORES R. WALKER be and she is hereby appointed and designated as Village Clerk (who shall also be the Registration Officer of such Village) in and for the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida; and she is hereby vested and delegated all of the powers and duties incident to said office, effective as of June 5, 1967. Section 2. The above named officer shall take and subscribe an oath before an officer duly qualified to administer oaths that she will faithfully and impartially execute the duties of her offices according to the best of her ability and understanding, which oath will then be filed with the Village Clerk and spread on the minutes of the Village Council. Section 3. The above named Village Clerk shall hold office until her successor shall be appointed and shall qualify, and during the pleasure of the Village Council. Section 4. The above named officer shall receive a. salary of $600.00 per year, said salary to be paid in equal bi-monthly installments. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 27 DAY OF JUNE, 1967. ATTEST: /s/ Dolores R. Walker OATH or OFFICE , do solemnly swear that I will support and protect and defend the Constitution and the Government of the United States and of the State of Florida, against all enemies, domestic or foreign, and that I will bear true faith, loyalty and allegiance to the same, and that I am entitled to hold office under the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and Laws of the State of Florida, and that I will faithfully perform all the duties of the office of Village Clerk of The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, upon which I am about to enter, so help me God.
