RESOLUTION NO. 265-1966
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS
OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 15, 1966.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of March, 1966, there was held in the Village of North Palm Beach,
Palm Beach County, Florida, a General Election for the purpose of electing councilmen to the Village
Council for Groups 1, 3 and 5; and
WHEREAS, by due resolution, the following named persons were appointed Inspectors and Clerk
of said election, to -wit: Ralph J. Cohn, Cathryn L. Mitchell, Eleanor Engel and Betty Redding,
Inspectors, and Mary Jane Jenkins, Clerk; and
WHEREAS, on March 16, 1966, said Inspectors and Clerk, after taking and subscribing their
oath in accordance with the law, made their returns to the Village Council, which returns certified
that the following is the result of said General Election, to -wit:
Total Machine Vote 744
Total Absentee Vote. . . 2
For Village Councilman. Group 1: (2 year term)
Allan V. Everard received 491 votes
Virginia M. Greene received 247 votes
For Village Councilman. Group 3: (2 year term)
David C. Clark received 426 votes
Henry M. Eckes, Jr. received 294 votes
For Village Councilman, Group 5: (2 year term)
Thomas F. Lewis received 423 votes
Luther M. Taylor received 315 votes
and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has duly canvassed the returns of said General Election and
finds that the returns of the Inspectors and Clerk of said Election are true and correct tabulations
of the votes cast; now, therefore
BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village Council finds and declares that the following is the result
of said General Election, to -wit:
For Village Councilman. Group 1:
Allan V. Everard received
Virginia M. Greene received
For Village Councilman Group 3:
David C. Clark received
Henry M. Eckes, Jr. received
491 votes
247 votes
A96 votes
294 votes

42.3 votes.
315 votes.
Section 2. That the following candidates are hereby declared to be elected to the
respective offices as follows:
Village Councilman. Group 1:
ALLAN V. EVERARD
Village Councilman. Group 3:
DAVID C. CLARK
Village Councilman. Group 5:
THOMAS F. LEWIS
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1966.
