A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, CONCERNING COUNTY PRECENCT BOUNDARIES.

WHEREAS, citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach who desire to
participate in County and State elections must vote in a precinct which
comprises not only the area of the Village but also areas of other munici-
palities, the polling place for which precinct is located in the Town of
Lake Park; and
WHEREAS, § 98.031, Florida Statutes, 1959, provides:
"98.031 Registration -and election districts,
precincts and polling places; boundaries.--
Each election precinct, election district
• and polling place in this state as defined and
fixed is recognized and continued. The board
of county commissioners in each :county upon
recommendation and •approval of the supervisor
may in any general election year, on or before
the eighty-fourth day prior to the first primary
in a general election year, alter or create new
districts or precincts. Each precinct shall be
numbered and a polling place at a sUitable loca-
tion designated. The district, or precinct:,
shall not be changed therafter without the consent
of four members of the board of county commissioners
and the supervisor in a joint meeting. The board
of •county commissioners and the supervisor may if
requested by official action of a municipality or
if practical and desirable have precinct boundaries
conform to municipal boundaries.";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
•OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
•Section 1. The Supervisor of Registration and the Palm Beach County
Commissioners are each respectfully requested to set up a voting precinct for
State and County elections •coinciding with the boundaries of the Village of
North Palm Beach.
Section 2. The •Clerk shall send certified •copies of this resolution
to each of the officials named in Section 1. •
