RESOLUTION NO. 28
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING NORMAN D. ROWLAND TO ACT AS A MEMBER OF
SAID COUNCIL IN THE ABSENCE OF CHARLES A CUNNINGHAM.
WHEREAS, it appearing to the Council for the period August 12,
1957, to October 2, 1957, the said Charles A. Cunningham will be unable
to attend the meetings of said Village Council and unable to discharge
his duties as a member of said body; and,
WHEREAS, it is essential that a suitable person be appointed in
his stead and during his absence in order that a forum be constituted to
conduct the affairs of the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in the Village
Council by virtue of Section 12 of the Charter of said Village of North
Palm Beach,
BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Norman D. Rowland is hereby appointed and consti-
tuted a member of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach,
Florida, to serve during the absence of Charles A. Cunningham, and that he
shall have all the powers and shall assume all the duties of the said
Charles A. Cunningham during his absence from office. _
Section 2. That the appointment herein made shall become effec-
tive on the 12th day of August, 1957, and shall continue until the 2nd day
of October, 1957; at which said time Charles A. Cunningham will resume his
duties as a member of the Village Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of July, 1957.
