RESOLUTION #24
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING L. STANLEY DE VILLERS TO ACT AS A MEMBER OF SAID
COUNCIL IN THE ABSENCE OF RICHARD E. ROSS.

WHEREAS, it appearing to the Council that from 17 June, 1957, the
said Richard E. Ross will be unable to attend the meetings of said Village
Council, and will be thereafter, for a temporary but undetermined period,
unable to discharge his duties as a member of said Body; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that a suitable person be appointed in
his stead and during his absence in order that a quorum be constituted to
conduct the affairs of the Village; now, therefore, pursuant to the authority
vested in the Village Council by virtue of Section 12 of the Charter of said
Village of North Palm Beach,
BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That L. Stanley de Villers is hereby appointed and
constituted a member of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm
Beach to serve during the absence of Richard E. Ross, and that he shall have
all of the powers and shall assume all of the duties of the said Richard E.
Ross during his absence from office.
Section 2. That the appointment herein made shall become effective
the 18th day of June, 1957, and shall continue thereafter until the resumption
of duties by the said Richard E. Ross as a member of the Village Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 1957.
