VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
TUESDAY, MAY 3, 1966

' Mayor Lewis called Special Meeting No. 2 to order at 9:20 p.m., ROLL CALL
since Special Meeting No. 1 was null and void, and requested
Village Clerk, Joe J. Eassa, Jr, to call the roll, all members
being present.
Vice-Mayor Thomas R. Bell indicated that while he was not opposed VIDE-MAYOR BELL
to the enactment of Proposed Ordinance No. 127-66, he was opposed REQUESTED NOTI-
• to the Special Meeting being held thereon without his having FICATION FOR

On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all PROPOSED ORDINANCE
present voting aye, Proposed Ordinance No. 127-66 entitled NO. 127-b6 PLACED
ON 2ND READING AND
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA READ BY TITLE ONLY
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, THE
SAME BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID
VILLAGE, BY ADDING TO THE USES PERMITTED IN C-1-A
LIMITED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, THE USE OF SAID DISTRICT
FOR CONVALESCENT HOSPITALS AND NURSING HOMES, AND BY
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH
was placed on second reading and read by title only.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all BUILDING OFFICIALS
present voting aye, the recommendation of the Building Official RECOMMENDATION TO
to amend Proposed Ordinance No. 127-66 to renumber Section 2 to AMEND PROPOSED
Section 3, and to add Section 2 as follows: ORDINANCE N0. 127-66
~~Each convalescent hospital and nursing home shall
be provided with one parking space (200 square feet)
for each six beds in tha establishment, plus one
parking space for each 300 square £eet of administrative
and service area within the building (kitchen, service
halls, chapel, dining room, lounge, visiting areas, and
treatment rooms)"
was adopted.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all PROPOSED ORDINANCE
present voting aye, Proposed Ordinance No. 127-66 as amended N0. 127-66 ADOPTED
entitled ON 2ND READING AS
AMENDED
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, THE

There being no further business to come before the Council, on ADJOURNMENT
motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
