Tringali, Mayor Dr. Edward M. Eissey, Vice Mayor David B. Norris, President Pro Tem Donald G. Noel, Councilman Charles R. O'Meilia, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager Kathleen F. Kelly, CMC, Village Clerk The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of the Council were present. All members of staff were present except Village Attorney George Baldwin. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING The Special Session was called to constitute the Village Council as the official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of canvassing the vote of March 13, 2001, in accordance with Section 10-11 of the Village Code. COMPUTER PRINTOUT INSPECTED Village Clerk Kathleen Kelly announced the vote, as the Council inspected the computer printouts containing the election returns as certified by Theresa LePore, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. TOTAL COUNT OF BALLOTS CAST The total count of ballots cast, including absentee ballots, in the General Election of March 13, 2001, was 2,168. For Village Councilman. Group 2: Judy Capone 776 Charles R. O'Meilia 1,356 - For Village Councilman. Group 4: Manny Grinn David B. Norris 379 1,641 Minutes of Special Session Held Wednesday, March 14, 2001 RESOLUTION 30-2001 ADOPTED — DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS Vice Mayor Eissey moved that Resolution 30-2001 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 13, 2001 Be adopted. Councilman Noel seconded the motion, and all present voted aye. OATHS OF OFFICE ADMINISTERED Village Clerk Kathleen Kelly administered the Oaths of Office to re-elected incumbent Councilmen Charles R. O'Meilia and David B. Norris, copies of said oaths being attached to the official Minutes of Record.
