Kelly, CMC, Village Clerk Absent: David B. Norris, Councilman ROLL CALL Mayor Eissey called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. All members of Council were present except Councilman Norris, who was unable to attend. All members of staff were present. AIR CONDITION CHILLER — NPB COUNTRY CLUB President Pro Tem Vastola moved to authorize the purchase of a new chiller from McQuay Service Group for the North Palm Beach Country Club on an emergency and sole source basis in the amount of $40,000. Vice Mayor Tringali seconded the motion. Director of Public Services Tom Hogarth gave a status report to the Council, and Village Attorney George Baldwin reviewed the history of the problems with the air-conditioning system at the Country Club. The Village Council directed that the staff have an investigation by an independent third party of the equipment to determine the actual cause of the failure of the chiller, and directed the Village Attorney to pursue any and all avenues of recovery of the costs to the Village. Mr. Baldwin was also directed to review the qualifications of the investigating party. Funds for the purchase of the new chiller will be taken from Capital Contingency. Thereafter, the motion passed 4-0. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m. Kathleen F. Kelly, CMC
