OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 1994

ROLL CALL
Vice Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. All
members of Council were present except Mayor Marks. All members of
staff were present except Village Attorney George Baldwin.
The purpose of the meeting was to constitute the Village Council as
the official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of
canvassing the vote of March 8, 1994, in accordance with Section
10-11 of the Village Code.
COMPUTER PRINTOUT INSPECTED
The Council inspected the computer printouts containing the
election returns as certified by Jackie Winchester, Palm Beach
County Supervisor of Elections.
TOTAL COUNT OF BALLOTS CAST
The total count of ballots cast, including absentee ballots, in the
General Election of March 8, 1994 was 1,563.

For Village Councilman, Group 3:
Gail H. Vastola Unopposed
For Village Councilman, Group 5:
Tom Valente Unopposed

Minutes of Special Session
Held Wednesday, March 9, 1994
RESOLUTION 8-94 ADOPTED
Councilman Pierman moved that Resolution 8-94 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION
HELD ON MARCH 8, 1994
be adopted. President Pro Tem Atwater seconded the motion, which
passed 4-0.
OATHS OF OFFICE ADMINISTERED
The Village Clerk administered the Oaths of office to incumbent
Councilmen Gail Vastola and Tom Valente, and newly elected
Councilman Larry Kelley. These Oaths shall be attached to the
official Minutes of this meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council,
Councilman Valente moved to adjourn at 7:17 p.m. President Pro Tem
Atwater seconded the motion, which passed 4-0.
