ROLL CALL
Mayor Vastola called the Public Hearing to order at 7:15 p.m. All
members of Council were present. All members of staff were
present.
PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
' The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the
Public concerning Bill 742, a proposed ordinance of the Village of
North Palm Beach, Florida, creating a Planned Unit Development
known as "Harbour Point Marina" upon those lands comprising 11.314
acres, more or less, located within the Village and more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part
hereof.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Manny Grinn, 536 Greenway Drive, addressed the Village Council,
recommending that the cash contribution for this project be kept at
$150,000, with the cash being paid up front. Further, Mr. Grinn
stated that the cash contribution is required to be a minimum of
5%. He recommended that language be included in the ordinance that
if it doesn't go through, the PUD should be rescinded and the
zoning returned to C-1. Additionally, Mr. Grinn feels that-the
Planned Unit Development has become an easy avenue for a developer
to avoid many of the Village's zoning requirements.
