MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING
OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1969

H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Councilman
Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager
Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Thomas R. Bell, Vice -Mayor
Allan V. Everard, Councilman
Herbert A. Watt, Councilman
Mayor Lewis called the Public Hearing on Bill No. 82 to order
at 7:35 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll. A quorum
was not present.
Mayor Lewis stated that inasmuch as a quorum was not present,
the Public Hearing would be recessed until such time as a
quorum was present to conduct business. Therefore, the
Public Hearing was recessed at 7:38 p.m.
Mayor Lewis reconvened the Public Hearing on Bill No. 82
at 8:45 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll. The follow-
ing were present:
Thomas F. Lewis, Mayor
Allan V. Everard, Councilman
H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Councilman
Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney
Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager
Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Vice -Mayor Bell and Councilman Watt were absent.
Mayor Lewis stated that the purpose of the Public Hearing was
to hear the pros and cons on Bill No. 82, which is a proposed
amendment to Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 20, amending
the requirements for minimum access stairways in buildings
two stories or greater in height.
Village Clerk read legal notice of Public Hearing, which was
published in the Palm Beach Post on November 19, 1969 and
posted as required by charter.
Mayor Lewis asked if there was any opposition to this bill
and there was none.
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Everard, all present voting aye, that Bill No. 82 be placed
on the agenda for the Regular Meeting of December 11, 1969
for second and final reading.
0n motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman
Privett, all present voting aye, the Public Hearing was
adjourned at 8:52 p.m. -
