Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. and asked the
Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being present. Councilman
Clark arrived at 8:15 p.m.
0n motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard, all present
voting aye, the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Tuesday; September 13,
1966 were approved as written.
0n motion of Vice Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present
voting aye, the Minutes of the Tax Equalization Board Meeting held
Tuesday, September 13, 1966 were read in full and approved as read.
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
present voting aye, the Minutes of Reconvened Regular Session of
Tuesday, September 13, 1966 held Tuesday, October 4, 1966 were
read in full and approved as read.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard, all
present voting aye, the Minutes of Special Meeting of Tuesday, October
4, 1966 were read in full and approved as read.
A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Mr. Karl Taylor, former
President of the Inter -City Ambulance Squad, by the Council for his
extraordinary initiative and drive during his years with the Squad.
Building Officialts Statistical Data Report for September 1966 was
read by Village Clerk Eassa and was accepted by Council.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Advisory
Board held Wednesday, September 7, 1966 were accepted by Council
without reading.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment
held Wednesday, September 21, 1966 were accepted by Council without
reading.
Letter from Village Attorney Gildan dated September 19, 1966 re Village
of North Palm Beach vs. Ross was read by Village Clerk Eassa and accepted
by Council.
Letter from Village Attorney Gildan dated September 29, 1966 re Village
of North Palm Beach vs. Ross read by Village Clerk Eassa and accepted
by Council.
Highlights of Activities of the Police and Fire Division of Public
Safety Department for September 1966 read by Village Clerk Eassa and

On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark, all present
voting aye, Councilman Everard was selected as the replacement, for a
3 year term, for Mr. Harold Beery on the Resources Development Board of
Palm Beach County. Mr. Beery's term expired October 1, 1966.
0n motion of Vice Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard, all present
voting aye, Bill No. 10 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH SETTING
FORTH JOB CLASSIFICATIONS, RANGES FOR RATES OF PAY AND
STANDARD WORK PERIODS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, INCLUDING EMPLOYEES AT THE NORTH PALM
BEACH COUNTRY CLUB, AND SETTING FORTH A BASIC SALARY
SCHEDULE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, INCLUDING THOSE EMPLOYED AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH
COUNTRY CLUB
was placed on first reading and read in full on tape.
0n motion of Vice Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard, all
present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 283-66 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
FLORIDA, SETTING THE SALARIES OF THE VILLAGE MANAGER AND
OF THE VILLAGE CLERK EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 1966
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 283-66.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark, all
present voting aye, Council authorized disbursement of $30 from
Village Contingent Account for Mr. Edward Jacomo's trip to
Sarasota, Florida for the period October 26 through October 29,1966
inclusive, and further agreed with Village Manager Eassa to allow
Mr. Jacomo use of Car No. 36 for official business for this same
period of time.
On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
present voting aye, Council authorized disbursement from Village Con-
tingent Account not to exceed $1,100 for Fairhaven Addition - drainage
problem - Fairhaven Drive and Fairhaven Place.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Clark, all present
voting aye, Council authorized disbursement from Village Contingent
Account in the amount of $803.82 for payment of interest in connection
with the repayment of $50,000 in bank notes.
0n motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Vice Mayor Bell, all present
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 p.m.
