HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-27-1966 VC REG-MPage 72 • Present: Absent: • MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD TUESDAY, DECEMBER 27, 1966 Thomas R. Bell, Vice -Mayor David C. Clark, Councilman Allan V. Everard, Councilman Herbert A. Watt, Councilman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Joe J. Eassa, Jr., Village Clerk and Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Manager's Secretary Thomas F. Lewis, Mayor Vice -Mayor Bell called the meeting to order at 8:35 p.m. and asked the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being present except Mayor Lewis. On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Everard all present voting aye, the minutes of the Regular Meeting held Tuesday, December 13, 1966 were approved as written. The minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 8, 1966 were corrected as follows: Changed "Part of this canal is on St. Clare's Church property and part on Village property" to read "All of this canal is on Village property" Village Clerk Eassa read letter to the Council from Thomas C. Mayes, Jr., Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of the North Palm Beaches, dated December 22, 1966 thanking the Village for permitting the Club to hold its carnival in the Village limits and thanking the Village for the donation for the cost of an occupational license for the carnival. Public Safety Department Monthly Report dated December 1, 1966 was accepted by Council without reading. Village Attorney letter dated December 12, 1966 re Ross, et al vs. Village of North Palm Beach, etc. was accepted by Council. Highlights of Building Official Statistical Data Report for month of November 1966 read by Village Clerk Eassa and accepted by Council. • On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Watt, 4-0 vote Mayor Lewis being absent - proposed Resolution No. 286-66 entitled: was read in On motion of vote - Mayor A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SETTLEMENT OF THAT CERTAIN LAWSUIT INVOLVING THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACHVS. HERBERT A. ROSS, ET AL SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS AND TERMS THEREOF full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 286-66. Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Everard, 4-0 Lewis being absent - proposed Resolution No. 287-66 entitled A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE ATTORNEY TO SETTLE THAT CERTAIN LAWSUIT BY PARTICIA KILPATRICK ET AL VS. M. that for extraordinary service, and the fact that they do not get overtime JACOMO & C. A. DICK pay; for the talent and interest they displayed, that the Village award Mr. E. M. Jacomo and Mr. C. A. Dick a bonus - at an amount to be determined after January 20, 1967. All of this would be in connection with the work these two men performed on the float entered by the Village in the Christ- mas in Dixie Parade. With nofurther business to come before the Council, on motion of Councilman ADJOURNMENT Everard, seconded by Councolman Clark, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. •
