MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 1966

Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order at 8:20 p.m., and asked RGLL CALL
the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members of the Council
• being present.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Vice-Mayor Bell, all
present voting-aye, the minutes of the Adjourned Meeting of
March 22, 1966, were approved as written.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard,
all present voting aye, the minutes of the Regular Meeting of
March 29, 1966 were approved by Council as amended.
Mayor Lewis issued a Proclamation that Sunday, May 1, 1966
will be Law Day in The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida.
Mayor Lewis asked Village Clerk, Joe J. Eassa, Jr, to-make
sure that the £lag flies on that day.
Mr. Gen® Armstrong, President of Gene Armstrong Associates,
Inc., attended this meeting to seek approval for, and acquaint
Village Council with, "Village East," a development addition
to The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida. All streets in
this development will be a minimum of 28 feet wide in lieu of
sidewalks. Each home will have a yard light with an automatic
eye which will give distributed lighting for the area in lieu
of city street lights.
Taxes for The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida would
increase to approximately X36,900 upon completion o£ this
development according to Mr, Armstrong.
Council to refer this to Planning and Zoning Advisory Board
for their recommendations, after which Council will completely
review this replat and advise Mr. Armstrong of their decision.
Mr. Paul Emond, Chairman of the Recreation Advisory Board,
thanked Village Manager, Joe J, Eassa, Jr., for the time he
spent with the Board Monday, April 11, 1966.
Following statements from the public, and with no further
business to come before the Council, on motion of Councilman
Everard, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present voting aye,
the meeting was adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
