07-09-1963 VC REG-M• MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH held July 9, 1963 Present: Warren P. Tatoul, Mayor Louis J. Aiello, Vice-Mayor Thomas'R. Be11, Councilman Harold M. Beery, Councilman Frank J. Hahn, Councilman Albin A. Olson, Village Manager and Clerk ' Absent: C. Rob-ert Burns, Village Attorney Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested the Clerk call the roll. Mayor Tatoul requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council held June 11, 1963, and the minutes of a special meeting of • the Village Council held July 2, 1963. The minutes were approved as read. ' g, The Village Clerk read a request from the Palm Beach County Commission that the Village Council consider forwarding a resolution to- our Congressional delegation urging they intercede directly with the Federal Bureau of Roads to accelerate the construction of that section of Interstate Highway 95 located within Palm Beach County for the prrpose of releiving north-south traffic congestion in this area. On motion of Councilman Beery, seconded by Councilman Be11, all members uotirig aye, the Village Attorney was requested to prepare and appropriate resolution for Council consideration. The Village Manages advised the Village of North Palm Beach, was in receipt of an invitation from the National Municipal League to enter the annual A11-American City competition. It was the feeling of the Village Council the accomplishments of the Village during the past six years warranted its being con- sidered for the award and accordingly authorized the Village Manager to accept the invitation. The Treadurer"s report for the month of June was distributed to the Council and accepted as read. Mr. Koith Nichols; Chairman, North Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board reported to the C-ouncil that Dr. G. G. Horn of the University of Florida had inspected the Country Club golf course on July 4 - 5, and that Mr. Clarke had been advised of preliminary measures to commence immediately pending receipt of a written report due this week.
