Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested
the Clerk call the roll.
Mayor Tatoul requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular
meeting of the Village Council held March 12, 1963, a special meeting
of the Village Council held March 20, 1963, and a special meeting of the
Village Council held April 1, 1963. The minutes were approved as read.
The following reports of the Village Treasurer as indicated by the
monthly audit reports were approved as read:

BALANCE (Accounts receivalbe) $ 23,721.24
A resolution of the St. Clare's Women's Guild advising the Village
Council of the Guild's favoring the addition of fluoride to the North
Palm Beach Water system was received.
The Village Manager was instructed to contact the Women's Guild,
thank them for their interest, and advise them the matter of adding
fluorides to the North Palm Beach water system is not a prerogative of
the Village Council inasmuch as the village water system is a privately -
owned utility.
A letter received from the North Palm Beach Library Society request-
ing the Village Council consider a portion of the recently acquired
Prosperity Farms Road land area as a permanent library site was called
to the Council's attention.
On motion of Councilman Beery, seconded by Vice -Mayor Aiello, all
members voting aye, the Village Manager was instructed to advise the
Library Society of the Council's appreciation of its interest and efforts
in looking into the matter of establishing a permanent library within
the Village and of the Council's desire to cooperate in any way it can.
Also, the Village Manager was instructed to invite the Library Society to
meet with the Council prior to the next meeting for the purpose of discuss-
ing a site location and/or any other pertinent information the Society may
have to report.

A letter received from Mrs. John J. Fitzgerald, 739 Ibis Way,
addressed to the Village Manager concerning the Country Club pool operations
policies was read to the Village Council. Mrs. Fitzgerald expressed her
opposition to organized pool activity as a deprivation of pool use by those
not participating in an organized activity.
The Village Manager advised the Council the pool area is divided
proportionately in accordance with the number in each group between those
members participating in organized activities and those interested in
general swimming.
The Village Council reiterated its desire to continue organized
pool activities in accordance with the membership needs and desires on
a non-exclusive pool use basis and that pool areas be available for members
not participating in organized activities.
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Bell, all
members voting aye, proposed Ordinance #77 entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND.
was placed on first reading and read in full.
On motion of Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Beery, all
members voting aye, the rules were waived, and proposed Ordinance #77
was placed on second reading and read by title only.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Aiello, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all
members voting aye, proposed Ordinance #77 was enacted.
At the request of the North Palm Beach Presbyterian Church, Inc.,
the Village Manager was instructed to schedule a public hearing to be
held Tuesday, May 14, for the purpose of considering the rezoning of
certain property located on Prosperity Farms Road recently purchased
by the North Palm Beach Presbyterian Church, Inc. from R-1 Single Family
Dwelling District. The purpose of the rezoning request is to permit the
land to be used for church purposes.
There being no further business to come before the Council, on
motion of Vice -Mayor Aiello, seconded by Councilman Bell, all members
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m.

zoning request is to permit the land to be used for church purposes.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
on motion of Vice -Mayor Aiello, seconded by Councilman Dell, all
members voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m.
