MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
held

Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested
the Clerk call the roll.
Mayor Tatoul requested the Clerk read the minutes of the regular
meeting of the Village Council held August 14, 1962, and the minutes of a
special meeting held August 23, 1962. The minutes were approved as read.
The resignation of Walter E. Thomas as Village Councilman was
accepted with regret on motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor
Bowman, all members voting aye.
The matter of boats causing excessive wake in the North Palm Beach
Waterway and Earman River areas and boat traffic congestion in the boat
ramp area was discussed.
The Village Manager was authorized to assign a police patrol boat
to patrol the areas during week -end periods and such other times as deemed
necessary.

On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all
members voting aye, the Village Manager was authorized to arrange a lease -
agreement for two (2) ice -making machines costing $1,700. with Refrigeration
Distributors, Inc., West Palm Beach, Florida.
The matter of the purchase of a new police patrol vehicle was
discussed. The Village Manager was instructed to secure bids on a four -door
sedan type vehicle for Council consideration.
Mr.. Arthur Mader, 740 Jacana Way, appeared before the Village Council
recommending the Council consider increasing the number of employees,
establish an employee pension plan and renumeration for Council members,
arranging to have a physician available on call within the Village, and
provide more stringent enforcement of the Dog Ordinance.
Mrs. Atha Green, 960 Firetree Road, appeared before the Village Council
requesting the Village Council oppose any further filling or dredging of
Lake Worth.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m.
