Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8;00 p.m. and requested
the Clerk call the roll.
Mayor Tatoul requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular
meeting held October 9 and the minutes of an adjourned meeting held
October 30. The minutes were approved as read.
The following reports of the Village Treasurer as indicated on
the monthly audit reports,were approved as read:

The Village Clerk read a letter from the Animal Rescue League
of the Palm Beaches, Inc., expressing appreciation to the Village for
a contribution of $100. to assist the League program.
The Village Council was advised a telegram had been received
from Senator Spessard Holland and Congressman Paul Rogers had telephoned
to inform the Village government that the Post -Office Department had
selected a post -office site within North Palm Beach. The site selected
is located on the west side of U.S. Highway #1 north of Ebbtide Drive.
A letter of resignation from Wallace A. Barber as director of
Civil Defense was received. On motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded
by Councilman Aiello, all members voting aye, the resignation was
accepted with regret and the Village Manager instructed to forward
Mr. Barber an appropriate letter of appreciation.
On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman,
all members voting aye, proposed Resolution #150 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CLERK TO SIGN A CERTAIN NOTE ON BEHALF OF THE
VILLAGE.
was adopted.

On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Councilman Hahn,
all members voting aye, proposed Resolution #151 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THP VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, CONCERNING MUTUAL
POLICE AID AND PROTECTION WITH THE CITY OF PALM
BEACH GARDENS, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA.
was adopted.
On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Councilman Hahn,
all members voting aye, payment was authorized fox current invoices
in the amount of $940.93 due Rubin Construction Company for Country
Club improvement work.
Payment in the amount of $2,581.72 was authorized Johns -Manville
Sales Corporation on motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor
Bowman, all members voting aye.
Payment in the amount o£ $5,500. was authorized Sourthexn Turf
Nurseries on motion of Councilman Hahn, se-conded by Vice -Mayor Bowman,
all members voting aye.
Payment in the amount of $366.00 was authorized H. M. Bergenstock
Nursery on motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman,
all members voting aye.
Payment in the amount of $782.19 was authorized the Charles
M. Graves Organization for preparation of the plans and specifications
for kitchen equipment at the Country Club on motion of Councilman Hahn,
seconded by Councilman Aiello, Mayor Tatoul Voting aye, Vice -Mayor
Bowman Voting nay.
On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman,
all members voting aye, payment in the amount of $3,479.25 to Northlake
Properties, Inc. for muck used in the Country Club improvement program
was authorized.
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Aiello,
all members voting aye, payment to King Electric Company in the amount
of $301.83 fox installation of Country Club parking lot lighting conduit
was authorized.
Payment to King Electric Company in the amount of $420.00 for
providing Country Club power conduit for proposed electric cart charging
area was approved on motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Council-
man Hahn, all members voting aye.
The final requisition of the Thomas A. Hodges Construction
Company, Inc., was presented to the Village Council. The matter was
held in abeyance pending receipt of the necessary lien releases and
guarantees.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Aiello,
all members voting aye, Mr. Carver was authorized to purchase and have
carpeting installed in the golf shop and locker rooms for a total cast
of $1,165.25.
On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Councilman Hahn,
all members yoting aye, the bid of Kelsey City Landscaping and Nurseries
Company, Inc., to provide landscaping materials for a total cost of
$7,890.54 for the Country Club project was accepted.
Mayor Fred Gropp, 605 Lighthouse Drive, appeared before the
Village Council to discuss the matter of the appointment of a Director
of Civil Defense for the Village. The responsibilities and lines of
authority of the Director were reviewed, and Mayor Gropp volunteered
to look into the matter with the County Director of Civil Defense.

Mr. W. G. Carver presented for the Council's consideration
new samples of proposed rug materials for the Country Club. On
motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members
voting aye, Mr. Carver was authorized to purchase rugs for the Country
Club building as per the bid dated November 20th, 1962, by the Walrich
Carpets, Inc., in the amount of $4,425. plus an additional 17 yards
for the Country Club office upon the acceptance of the rug color by
the House Committee.
There being no further business to come before the Council on
motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Aiello, all members
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 p.m.
